The main purpose of college is to be well-educated and have skills that will be need to become successful in future. A college education helps people and prepares them for the entry into the real world of economics and social bindings. College plays a big impact on our lives. Taking education seriously does require a certain amount of self-confidence, and it is very important not to let discouraging grades undermine your confidence.
College students can feel under a lot of pressure about the grades they receive for the English class they take. Most of the times parents pressuring students to receive good grades, and also other times it may be that students need to put a lot of efforts to maintain a point average in order to keep scholarships. Grades are used to prove how well or how weak a student is doing in certain subject. Grades can be helpful, since they reflect on how a student is doing in the course. Therefore some grades could be beneficial is that it also allows professors, as well the students, to see the amount of knowledge they have gained. English class grade should be determined based on the student performance, attendance, class participation, and homework. If a student is not doing all the work being assigned to do, he/she will eventually fail the class. If students don’t get the grade they wanted, they probably didn’t put too much effort into learning the course and producing quality work. But if a professor sees that, the student is putting some effort to pass the course, the professor should eventually give him/her another chance to pass the course. In order to have good grades, there must be a communication between the professor and students. The students must be able to prove to the professor, that she or he has learned some important things.
Many professors use different grading systems, different grade percentages and perhaps grade on a curve.
