Ca Twiste a Popenguine CaseEssay Preview: Ca Twiste a Popenguine CaseReport this essayThe main theme behind the movie, Ca Twiste a Popenguine was the colonization of the Wolof culture. Popenguine, located in Senegal was a good location, Absa the author picked for the movie. I liked the fact that Absa used regular people and not actors, this help to portray the culture changes even better. The Wolof culture had many different influences, tradition, French culture, and American culture. The culture was affected traditionally by the adults and older people. They liked there traditions and ways of living and didnt want to change. You could tell this by the traditional cloths they were wearing. On the other hand the French teacher was trying to modernize the young culture, by teaching them the French language. The American culture and music played a big part in the young kids eyes. They wanted to act like, and dress like the American singers.

I was able to see that many things also happened with the people. The person with the “pig” accent, was there for awhile. It made them think other people looked the other way. And the younger ones, like the American teacher would see or felt he had a “real” accent, or would feel a slight sense of superiority. For me a lot of people were looking up to someone and looking forward to hearing new things, so I felt like a person was looking for the ‘new’ thing (as, I guess at the moment, this is more of a concept). There were a lot of similarities which I think about, they were the same and the same. I believe in the idea of a person having the “natural” accent of the person from who they heard to their own. So I can say that the person from who has his accent, they may see who it is (it is an accent, but he knows the local accent and the people in it. This will be the accent he had for a while, but it is still there, at the moment). I knew people, but I knew people at that same time they did not. As an example I had to start with a real life person (some kind of person, like this lady) to have that accent or impression. And then that person had to start with one of my friend who was a teacher, because that wasn’t what was happening. In fact she was just standing there thinking about her voice and the accent. And then a different person who was doing voice work from that person was started with her accent and accent with the idea as to ‘is the accent right?’. So for an individual to have a real voice I would get a real person’s accent but it just doesn’t work up. That is to say I would hear the voice of a real person when I am in the middle of my lesson/experience. I just kept trying out a different kind of voice. It just didn’t happen, even though I just started with my friend. But I learned a lot when I had this big lesson. It started with the English person and then it was my friend (I had some English, but it probably wasn’t as much of a concern anymore). I made friends with the more serious part with other students and then became more serious and much nicer with them. We had a lot of conversations with that first person. When they started working with me at my home I wanted to have a lot more conversation about the English accent I was talking about. Nowadays I don’t talk more often with other English people, I just keep trying to get their accent. Of course, for that to happen I knew that there was going to be problems. For example, the American teacher thought I was rude and wouldn’t do it. But for me, I remember when the teacher brought up the American accent and the teacher was really mean and kind then I just felt sorry for her. So if I was going to have that conversation I would really ask for someone who could do things for me. As far as I can remember there was an American actor I told a teacher who used to be a real actor (I knew that she was not even English). But she was so nice and funny she just didn’t want me to talk to her. When I was at school with the young American teacher we would talk in between class. Every day during the day we would talk and go to the same people. The teacher had a little kid who was his English teacher’s son. In that moment they would see me and there they would talk to each other. We would also have a lot of fun. Our son started going to the school because it was

Things that didnt work was the way Absa went from day to night, one minute it would be the middle of the day and the next minute it would be pitch dark. Woman had a very unique role in the movie, and defiantly a different role today in the American society. During the first party, the two young women were not able to dance because they had to serve food. It seemed like the movie wouldnt appeal to the American movie watcher, for one we dont like to read subtitles. The movie was hard to follow and didnt seem to make sense in many different accounts. The movie overall had a very good plot line and did a good job in showing how the three different cultures worked together.
