Impoverished Nations have been a problem in this world for years now. Many questions arise when one tries to understand the elements that set up such a “shameful and disgusting” thing such as poverty. There are many misconceptions as to why or how nations, such as Africa, become impoverished. The more wealthy nations do not enjoy their privileges at the expense of the poor, nor does capitalism thrive on (global) injustice. The United Nations looks at the issue of world poverty and the “figures on inequality always pour forth.”

So why are these nations so vastly impoverished when the Western Nations and much of the world are not faced with this problem? A common claim is that if “we in the West werent so rich, so greedy for resourcesthe problem of global poverty would be half way solved”. The answer to impoverished nations that remain poor is the choices a Socialist or Centralized Govt. makes on their country. By setting up tariffs on trade and governments setting up state monopolies, a sense of equality seems to be achieved. The only thing wrong is the country remains poor.

So what is the answer for economic justice? Take the U.S., a country that can consume $10 trillion because it produces $10 trillion a year. “Africa could produce and consume a lot more without America” doing a thing. Why do these impoverished nations still trust the socialist idea? History can answer that question, but countries like China and India are dropping their old “victims mantle” and embracing the idea of capitalism. “All of a sudden they are a lot less poor and it hasnt cost the U.S. one cent”. This idea of capitalism can create economic justice that give nations like China the ability to compete in the world with other countries.
