This common essay was one of the hardest common essays I have ever had to write for any previous english class i have taken.
My score didnt shock me after all because i found that the material was very hard to understand at the first place. When i read the article the first time,
i remember not understanding 95% of the vocabulary in the text. I also had a very hard time finding a clear thesis statement to develop in my essay.
therefore, I got confused finding the arguments and developing my ideas in such a short time. Even though i studied every term and vocabulary before the common essay,
i struggled with the argumentative part of my writing. Also, i have difficulties organizing my essay and my words when i write in such a short time. i noticed after rereading
my essay that my sentences sounded more a talk or conversation rather than an essay, which is the mistake i tend to do in all my essays.
After I read my common essay, I noticed the confusion i had in my mind and in the thesis. I couldnt express my ideas clearly and therefore i panicked when
i saw the time passing by. i have always had an issue with time in writing my essays. I always take my time thinking about the arguments
but not enough time to create short and precise sentences.I tend to loose myself in long sentences without any punctuation and with many orthographic and grammatical mistakes.
Beside the focus on the essay organizations with the time giving, I tend to always forget to use sources and go back to the article to support my arguments,
my well-develop essays are always lacking the support from other sources, which was the main issue with my common essay.Supporting my ideas with sources could be used as my
evidence. In addition, it would generate more ideas for me to develop in the next paragraphs.
I know I am missing many points in my writing style, for example, argumentation, persuasion and explanation of facts that the article discuss,
but i always realize that at the end and that always
makes my conclusion very long and not precise. I must say that with the rush time, i had to at least return an essay complete,
so I had to make sure to return an introduction, a body paragraphs and a conclusion, even though it was too long, at least it recapitulated all the points i discussed in the essay.
When i did my rewrite, I tried to focus on short precise sentences, i also tried to use more punctuations to cut the very long sentences and also have a more clear thesis statement.
In addition, I went back to the article and support my paragraphs with selective sources. I did see so many mistakes i regret making
