I understand that communication process is very useful in many businesses, including big multimillion companies around the world. I learned that communication is sharing thoughts, ideas, and emotions with others. On the first chart, the cause of the misunderstanding is the supervisor assuming I understand the email to attend the phone training. This misunderstanding happened because the supervisor was processing everything in his head and it didnt come out the way it should of in the email. The second chart is almost similar but, it was face to face communication. On this misunderstanding it was unclear that I had to finish the update for the manager because the tone of the supervisor. The tone sounded like a rush, like I needed to stop what I was doing because it wasnt important at the moment. It seems that misunderstanding sometimes happens with lack of knowledge, attitude, poor understanding, or lack of feedback. The sender needs to give a detailed explanation to the receiver to have knowledge on what the sender wants. The sender will process everything in thought before translating it in language for the receiver. Sometimes language cant fully explain a thought and the process of communication can cause confusion and misunderstanding. This happen not just my company but, possibly other business around world. So after reading and learning the communication process I plan to use it, not just at work, but everywhere I go.
