KREEDA – A revolution in sport
Have you ever wanted to have a game of Table Tennis but you have no one to play with? Are you passionate about 8 ball pool but have no one to share it with? Are you a band of friends who are tired of looking for other teams to play cricket with? We all have played and enjoyed sports in our childhood but in modern times with increased urbanization and decreased socialization, finding an opportunity to simply play a game has become difficult. Our idea seamlessly integrates social media and spirit of sports to enhance and inculcate a sporting culture in India.
KREEDA is a web platform that aims to create community of people interested in playing sports. The unique selling point of our community is the concept of rating users. Harnessing the competitive spirit in human beings, people will want to play for fun and increase their ratings. Moreover it will provide a metric to measure and match competitors. It will be a one stop location for anyone interested in a casual game. Users can find and connect with other users interested in playing similar sports. The platform will also reduce the hassle of setting up a game by suggesting nearby sports centres and facility providers.
This Idea will appeal kids and young adults from 12-22 years of age, who want to find new friends or competitors play with. And also middle aged people from 40-60 years of age who want to connect and bond casually over sports and games.
Our model includes partnerships and tie ups with leading sports centres and facility providers by guaranteeing them a steady flow of customers. Sports brands can promote their products to this huge user base.
Initially we intend to promote our idea by hosting multiple small scale sporting events to get people hooked to idea. Using social media to popularize our app, and build a small but strong community of sports enthusiasts who regularly use the app to find people and engage in sporting activities. Our aim is to make playing sports a daily activity. We expect to build a sustainable sports community across all urban areas in India. In the long term with huge number of recurrent users, the community will become self-sustaining with people organizing their own local tournaments and participants connecting through our web service. We envision this web portal to be the one stop location for all sports enthusiasts.
The concept of community participation in sports, match making through social media, and rating system to informally gauge player will completely revolutionize sporting culture. Once the concept gains traction, people will want to come on to the platform to engage with other players and develop their own profile and ratings. The incentive of a popular public image will increase participation in sports and make it a part of modern culture.
