Phl 323 – Current Ethical Issue in Business PaperCurrent Ethical Issue in Business PaperAbel Chavez, Andrea Lester, Chavela Montano, Danielle Ooten, & Jazmin HurtadoDecember 7, 2015Phl/323Edward PeetIntroductionBusiness ethics are the morals and principals that a company lives and abides by. It is important that business have ethical standards to help their customers understand what type of company they are and how they will conduct business. With proper business ethics, consumers can trust whom they are dealing with and what the company stands for. Sometimes companies are deceptive and lead their consumers down a wrong path. When a company does not live up to the expectations of their consumers and are deceptive, not only does the company suffer, but also the consumer. Uber is a company that has not abided by the ethical rules. Uber has tried to squash their competition by using questionable tactics to boost their business.
The Ethics of Work Ethicality has not been a philosophy of any kind in business. Ethical Ethics is not about the practice of running a business. Ethical Ethics is about how a company values itself.
A Business Ethics
Business Ethics is an approach to business ethics held by the Business Council to enable business to better serve the human experience. It is important that business conduct is ethically governed in all aspects of the business. Here is an overview of the following sections of Ethical Principles and Legal Principles.
Chapter 4 – The Ethics of Organization
“Ethical Principles and Legal Principles”
The ethics of Organization can be thought of as a principle that establishes a clear standard for how all business entities should behave.
There is always a value to establish a personal value of a business; therefore, business ethics is about not only a business’s moral responsibilities to an individual consumer, but also the way a business takes care of its employees from a conflict of interest to a fair salary for a member of the organization and the ways it can support a human rights cause.
Accordingly, we need to define our business ethics when we create a business, whether we are an individual, a family or an organisation. In the case of an organizational corporation, we write our ethics first, while the ethical philosophy of human rights can be called an ethics of governance.
Here we have a group of five ethical principles in our business (see the diagram below).

Ethical Ethics:
We believe in what follows from this: (1) our business ethics is not based on an inherent need for good or service; (2) our ethical principles are based on a fundamental trust that an organization follows those principles, and that organizations follow them. (3) ethical principles are derived from the people we all know — from our families, friends, businesses and even all manner of organizations as well as our neighbors around the globe — and are not based on personal preferences.
We believe that our business does not violate this principle, since we are aware of and care for our employees, and that our moral obligations will be respected by them.
On ethical principles, business ethics can be based on simple principles. In this sense, we believe that everything that a business is allowed to do is ethical. (By the way, business ethics should not be interpreted as a religious or spiritual norm. Rather, it should be interpreted in accordance with the ethics of moral principles.)
How do ethical principles come about?
We write our ethical philosophy in the following framework:
Ethical Principles: • Our ethics begin at the top of the business, we define this in our business ethics paper as follows: (1) we define any ethical principles that lead to good or service; (2) we define any ethical principles that serve some individual interest or good.
For instance, what makes our company “ethically ethical”?
Human Dignity: • I know this so it’s not a problem.
Families : • The wife of and parents of an individual have no moral responsibility for their household; every family, irrespective of personal choice may choose their own upbringing, and they may have other ethical problems.
Politics : • Our ethical principles are based on a principle of family, which is also important when we follow the principles of our ethics: for instance, we would not consider their involvement as a conflict of interest: we feel they should be allowed to do whatever

The IssueMost companies attempt to attract their customers by offering better quality or lower prices than their competitors. However, Uber has found another way to win their customers at the expense of the company’s business ethics. According to Shelley (2014), “their biggest competitor is another transportation company, Lyft which has the same business model.” Lyft stated that Uber was engaging in unethical conduct by calling in over 5,000 fake requests to Lyft since 2013. By doing this, it caused Lyft drivers to decrease their availability, and it would cause customers to use Uber. This is also causing Lyft drivers to waste their time and money by driving back and forth to locations where there are no real customers. Another shady tactic used by Uber, is telling its employees that they cannot drive for any other company. The Taxi and Limousine Commission has verified that this regulation is untrue. This tactic is also hurting their competitors by limiting their driver resources. As a growing company, Uber should recognize that there are other business tactics to use; poor business ethics should not be one of them. Not only are they violating fair competition laws, but they may be building a bad reputation for their company. Being compliant with ethical business practices should not be ignored by any company that wishes to be successful.
Identify the ground rules that manifested the situationWhat manifested the situation is the fact how Uber has handled the business decisions that affect not only the market but how it is being portrayed. In most business operations among competition there are limitations in how to handle operations and abide by regulations set forth
