Chapter One
The T-Shirt Business
Business Name:
Shirts for Katrina Relief
Mission:
Goals:
Collect donations from ten local businesses by October 31, 2005.
Receive preorders for thirty t-shirts.
Provide additional donations to the American Red Cross to assist in the Katrina Relief effort.
Location:
Texas State University
Hines Building
1111 University Drive
San Marcos, Texas 78747
Room # 101
Products/Services Offered:
The first product being sold was advertisement space. The team was to work to gather one hundred dollars or more in donations from five to fifteen local businesses. In return for their donations we would be placing their companys logo/trademark on the back of a t-shirt for advertisement purposes. The second product being sold would be the t-shirts themselves. After collecting all the companys donations, we would collect preorders for the t-shirts ($10 each). The shirts were to be black and the front caption would say, “Together We Will Weather the Storm” in white lettering. The back of the shirt would be dedicated to the logos of the companies that supported and donated to the cause. All of the company donations as well as all profits gained from the sell of the t-shirts would go directly to the American Red Cross for Katrina Relief.
