It is also necessary to establish an appropriate and acceptable time to hold the meeting. A complex issue may not be able to be negotiated in ten or fifteen minutes, so be sure to allow for more time on these type of discussions. It may be necessary to start the discussion in the short time you have available and then schedule a follow-up discussion if the scope of the topic requires more time to reach a consensus.
