Executive Summary #TrainForACause with the theme “Help Yourself by Helping Others is a five-day corporate training event that would be held on Fushing Meadows Resort and Playground, Barangay Dao, Dauis Panglao Bohol at June 4-8, 2018. This event focuses on developing corporate leaders, managers, supervisors and different executives from various local corporations. In terms of developing their management skills, leaders would be able to improve their employee’s productivity as well as retain them. This, in turn, would be impactful as their sense of leadership could be beneficial for their company’s future growth. This event is composed of a seminar, corporate-related activities, and competition games which provides enhancement for leadership and harmony on corporate areas. In line with its title, the said event will also focus on reaching out with its chosen beneficiaries. A part of the overall profit will be allotted to the victims of Marawi crisis in Mindanao. This is one of the main reasons for initiating the program and as part of developing managerial skills which includes providing assistance for the needy. #TrainForACause is divided into five parts as it is a five-day corporate event which includes:Registration/Orientation – participants are required to register to be an official member of the event before the program proper. Guests, speakers, and introductory will highlight the first day of the event.Seminar – the first activity will be an introductory to the main goal of the event. Participants’ knowledge about leadership and motivation will be refreshed and this will prepare them for the following days.Training and Simulation – the real essence of the event in which participants are assigned to different corporate areas where activities will focus on making decisions in particular areas of business.Corporate and Strategic Games – participants will be tested as they will embark their ways to the top. Different games such as board tournament and scavenger hunt will challenge the participants’ cooperation and wits.Awarding and Leisure Activities – the last day of the event will recognize individual and team efforts for the past four days. This also includes leisure time for participants to enjoy their stay before heading back home.II. Event Title with Beneficiary#TrainForACause“Help Yourself by Helping Others”Beneficiary: Victims of Marawi Our event is a five-day leadership training which is for corporate leaders, managers, supervisors and different executives from various local corporations. It is inclusive of seminars, trainings and activities which would help build better relationship among the employees in a corporation as well as increase their productivity. This event aims to help those corporate managers develop their leadership skills and abilities in order for them to be able to influence and motivate their employees to achieve exceptional performance. In addition to this, it will also improve their ability to communicate not only with their team but also with their customers. Likewise, it will also help strengthening their techniques for managing the performance of the team. Furthermore, they will be able to maximize their team’s performance by understanding human behavior and focusing on the needs of the individual and the team. The purpose of this event is to provide assistance to the Victims of Marawi. The Battle of Marawi, also known as the Marawi siege and the Marawi crisis was a five-month-long armed conflict in Marawi, Lanao del Sur, that started on 23 May 2017, between Philippine government security forces and militants affiliated with the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant(ISIL), including the Maute and Abu Sayyaf Salafi jihadist groups. The battle left the city in ruins with 95 percent of the structures within the 4 square kilometres (1.5 sq mi) of the main battle area to be heavily damaged or completely collapsed. 3,152 buildings were completely destroyed and 2,145 buildings were partially to heavily damage due to the five-month heavy bombardment during the war. Like all conflict, the Battle for Marawi took a terrible toll on infrastructure and private property and on an even greater scale-social cost. The bitter five-month struggle, with some similarities to the epic battle for Stalingrad in the second world war, forced hundreds of Maranao and other ethnic races of the city to flee to neighboring cities and towns such as Iligan, Cagayan de Oro, and Lanao Norte coastal towns at the start of hostilities.
