Critical thinking can be define in a narrow sense, critical thinking has been described as “the correct assessing of statements.” It has also been described popularly and narrowly as “thinking about thinking.”It has been described in a much more comprehensive sense as “the intellectually disciplined process of actively and skillfully conceptualizing, applying, analyzing, synthesizing, and/or evaluating information gathered from, or generated by, observation, experience, reflection, reasoning, or communication, as a guide to belief and action”More recently, critical thinking has been described as “the process of purposeful, self-regulatory judgment, which uses reasoned consideration to evidence, context, conceptualizations, methods, and criteria.”The ability to apply logic to unfamiliar situations or ideas. We can used it in many situations such as for personal development, for example what we have to wear during an interview. Now we move to an agrument. Its a point of view on a subject with a valid supporting evidence. This terms are really important used in writing an essays or reports. For scholarly argument we have to present both side of case, let say if we talked about advantage we have to talked disadvantage together. We can strengthening an argument by using reputable sources of evidence. Internal consistency also can be apply when we make an argument, thats mean the starting position should agree with the closing postion. Other thing we have to know regarding argument is ‘false permise. This is the type of argument based on wrong assumption. For me, ‘Critical thinking and argument is required almost in my class which is can explain what is lacking on my assignment.
