Critical thinking is thinking tool that assists in making proper decisions that helps in making the right choice or may help one reach their goals. As a skill, it is an examination of thought process that seeks expansion of such process. Paul and Elder state “critical thinking is the art of thinking about thinking while thinking in order to make thinking better. It involves three interwoven phases: it analyzes thinking, it evaluates thinking, it improves thinking” (Paul & Elder, 2006, p. xvii). This may sound like a complex concept, but with practice it becomes easier to understand.
