In order to live as one in a country , to work together across the global with people from different part of the world effectively and harmoniously ,we need to take the initiatives to understand how people from different cultures speak, communicate and perceive the world around them. Living in the globalisation world ,we had experience the fastest changing of the age. For example, with the successful creation of internet we now can connect to the world within a minute, business meetings are no longer required to meet up personally and can be done through face-time, or  visiting to another country no longer required days and it can now be done easily by taking flight and so on. Meanings, living in today’s world we are required to deal with peoples from different background ,races , religious , values and belief at any point of time. We are all exposed to the multi-cultural world. In order to adapt to the uncertainty of future changing ,we are required to prepare ourselves in advance to deal with people with the different background .By mastering cross cultural allowed us to reduce misunderstanding that occur during communication with the other parties and also to learn to respect other’s culture. With our upbringing and working experience we learn to comprehensive understanding of the issues involved in cross-cultural management which will helps us to prepare ourselves to deal with the future where more and more activity involves multiple cultures. My Multi-cultural Home Malaysia is a multi-cultural society that consisting of Malays, Chinese, Indians and numerous indigenous people who appreciate different values and beliefs. As time when we grow ,we were taught Mandarin ,Bahasa Melayu and English in school. With the ability to speak more than one language did benefit me when working in the multi-cultural society especially in country like Singapore. For my own view, communication is the conversation starter and also the link to the world of business environment . The competency of speaking more than one language allow us to break the ice with the strangers easily as we are more confident to speak with them compare to those who can’t speak their language and it’s an advantage in international business. It shows an understanding and respect of the world outside of your own culture.
