HOW TO MAKE CHEESY BAKED MACARONI
I just love soul food! Cheesy baked macaroni is one of my favorite dishes to cook. First, I fill a medium-sized pot halfway full with water and bring it to a rolling boil. Once the water starts boiling, I add 4 cups of elbow macaroni to the boiling water. Next, I watch the macaroni as it boils until the macaroni is halfway done. Once the macaroni is halfway done, I take the pot and pour it into a strainer. I would then strain all the water from the macaroni and add 1/4 of a stick of butter to the macaroni by stirring it. Next, I would fill a medium-sized pan with 1/3 of the cooked macaroni. I then would sprinkle salt and pepper over the macaroni. Once Ive added seasoning, then I would add slices of american, mild cheddar, sharp cheddar, and colby cheese until the macaroni is covered with cheese. I would repeat these same steps for all three layers. After all three layers are seasoned and covered with cheese, I would then mix 1 cup of milk and 1 egg together. Once the egg and milk is mixed together, I would add salt and pepper to the mixture. Next, I would pour the mix over the cheese covered macaroni. The macaroni is now ready to go in the oven. I would preheat the oven to 350 fahrenheit for 10 minutes. Once the oven is preheated place the macaroni in the oven for 35 minutes. In exactly 35 minutes I would remove the macaroni from the oven and stir it up. Thats how I make cheesy macaroni!
