Has Technology Become a Necessity?
We are surrounded by technology, from when we brew a cup of coffee in the morning to when we send an email and check the weather using our smart phones. Most people have become accustomed to their current level of technology access and would be at a great disadvantage without it. I have always assumed that I could do without and would be fine and recently I had the lovely experience.
When I started attending Thomas Nelson I was given an old laptop by a family member and I had an iPhone. These are two examples that most people have and are not exceptionally exclusive products. With these two products I was able to keep up with my online classes and my lecture courses. I could check my student email while grocery shopping and could write discussion board posts while my toddler was napping in my arms. I only have access to a computer three days a week and my two and a half year old is with me. If you can imagine the experience is never a smooth one. If I am not extremely careful in my scheduling I can be late turning in multiple assignments.
I think technology has become not a necessity exactly but a much needed aid. I still do not have a cell phone and get strange looks when
