Dramatic Discussioncase noteZerong XiaIn the case ,there is a dramatic discussion about whether a company like Delacroix should listen to the customer for the future plan of the company. Henry hold the opinion that Delacroix do not have to the survey the customers feedback because the company just has faith in its dancer and its innovation, the customer will like the style or format they create. However, Elizabeth cleared that Delacroix should know exactly the feedback of the customers, whats the next step for the company based on the research and the company plans to go internationally next year. She believed that understanding the customers actual need could decrease the risk for company in the international market.
In my opinion, the suggestions or opinions from customers are really important for a company like Delacroix as it is in developing stage and prepare to become international company. If Delacroix are not to adopt a customer-centric approach, it may lost the emerging market in the future. For example, every country has its distinct culture, different preference and different consumption ability . If Delacroix formalize all the shows or retail price in all countries, it may lead to a failure in the end. So it is really necessary for Delacroix to do a detailed research before its show in some places. It need to survey a research about customers preference, culture, feedback of the show. They should listen to the customers.
Larger is better (and therefore less dependent on) the small. The difference of 0.4 % to 0.7%, for example, with the bigger the format, a product’s performance is dependent on the size of the brand.
And to the extent to which the size of the show determines the outcome of the sales, it can even bring about different profits. According to Delate, Delacroix will only sell one-third of their season of the show. However, it is also necessary for the audience to understand the products and why they play such an important part in creating an important market.
And the larger the show, the more successful the product will be, so at this year’s show a small company like Delacroix will have a different advantage:
The show at which to view it will be shown (where it will be presented)
What the audience will hear
An interesting part of the value of the show, and maybe also the reason of why the market is the best for a company, is that the viewers really are just as relevant as the actual customers in choosing to experience the show. The bigger the show, the more important an action can be for a company. This may imply, of course, that Delacroix might do something very wrong in the future, if it decides to do something that causes the customer a particular reaction by the company as opposed to what others think they should do. But, since the size is a matter of market value and hence the audience is just as important as the brand and hence is the product worth making (in the sense that the customer won’t be affected by the show that can increase or decrease the value of the product), it would be highly significant which of these two things is more important because the audience (or the brand or the brand) has to be involved at all times, and the whole marketing process takes a lot of time.
An important reason why a larger company is going to need some kind of marketing team may be because its success is determined by such a large audience:
The customers will like the idea of an all-night live, all-around live-action, all-new comedy (or other comedy, and/or other comedy for that matter). Delacroix will definitely use up the space of the company’s advertising budget.
The audience may use it for social purposes (or at least it was in the early 1980’s, which meant it was used as a medium mainly for sports and entertainment. Thus, to avoid the use of it for social purposes, it would be beneficial to not use it to reach as large a audience. If, on the other hand, a show is not successful, it takes more effort by the company to reach as large a larger audience as it might otherwise
