Management Interview Of A Walmart Store ManagerEssay Preview: Management Interview Of A Walmart Store ManagerReport this essayWhen told to do a management interview, I thought a little bit before I asked someone to do the interview. I wanted to do the interview with someone with multiple experience, and possible someone I worked with. I then asked Dan Rogers, store manager of the Willmar Wal-Mart, because I had worked with him for two years and was someone that I could follow and learn from.
Dan is the store manager of Wal-Mart in Willmar, Minnesota; He has been with them for 10 years. Dans duties consist of befriending some 150+ workers, going through documents and papers, check over the day to day operations, make sure the store resides in a clean and orderly manner, dealing with customers and employees, delegate, and also get feedback from employees and the district managers as well as others. Dan has been in the Central Minnesota area his whole life. He was a graduate from New London Spicer High school with high aspirations of going to college. He then got a job at a local grocery store while attending Willmar Vocational school (which is now Ridgewater College) for sales and management. He continued working at the grocery store while attending school. When his two years of school where done he had planned
Dan is also the person who managed to take over the WLCA Store at Ponderosa.
As we have found from all of the efforts we have put in to fix things and improve our lives, we do ask that you respect our time and efforts because our time works hard and our work is always moving forward.
Dan started his work on the WLCA Store just after he received his job offer from Willmar University of Pennsylvania in 1999.
And so, Dan and his staff became a full time group-wide group shop-shop who are happy to help, support, and educate our local community.
In the fall of 2004 Dan joined the business of the WLCA Store at Ponderosa. During the initial year he moved to Minneapolis and began his first full time job working for a local grocery store. The first couple of weeks and months in the store were very tense due to a lack and miscommunication. The employees had to work in shifts where they didn’t have a lot of time, even in the evenings. The store worked in a team based around the idea that we need good communication and that the team wanted to meet and talk through issues and have the opportunity to come to terms with their differences and work together. This was the start of a shift where our internal conflict was almost immediately brought about and there was no communication between the two. Eventually when we found out we were dealing with this conflict, it was taken out of communication and our relationship with our employees was severely compromised. Dan and his staff were hired by Wal-Mart which resulted in an increase in the price of the products in the store and this was a big blow to our group shop business.
We are proud to say we have taken over the store for the second consecutive year in 2018 with over 100 workers and many new members. We will be back again next year and to say a huge thank you to everyone who came work in that first summer shift here and to everyone who came back to our store and supported the company every step of the way. Dan will be returning with us in 2018 with us expanding our store in Minnesota in the near future.
