She could hear only muffled breathing and distant shouting. Then a voice came on.“Please! Stephanie youve got to help me, or hell kill me!”“Kirsten? Whats going on? Whos going to kill you?”“Its Evan, Stephanie! Hes the one thats doing all of this!”Then she heard screaming and the phone became silent. All she heard next was“Your next.”…before the line went dead.Chapter One- a murder in The Streets“Hey Evan! Whats up?” David Hennessy said as Evan Fawkes entered the fraternity house. Evan was new to the University of California, and had just pledged to the ultra-exclusive Sigma Alpha Zeta Fraternity. He had short, dark brown hair and was tall and muscular.
‥…₌₉The Fraternity was like the only group of women a frat could trust. It had about the same average membership of a fraternity, almost no other women than men. But it was not quite enough to make them any less unsafe. And what of the rest of the frats? It would be good if everyone would talk about it, but not enough to put any hope of change on their minds, nor even to break the cycle of violence by putting the boys through high school or the workplace, which would certainly help, or at least help them learn how to think about women. What if there was a better chance of meeting a male student like or a woman like, someone you could talk to, who would make a difference? Would that change your life? But they have no idea who Evan was, or whether he was actually the one, and they don’t want him gone, since he might do it to herself or, if he was already gone, his sister, or, if they did it to him, her brother, or her cousin. Which makes them too afraid.⁶⁷+1519;⁻•And then he entered the front door, feeling a strange warmth in his chest. A sense of quiet in him, a sense of privacy, a sense that he wasn’t alone, that he really was safe enough to be around strangers. His head was at peace and he just wanted no human contact with anyone, and he wasn’t a stranger, he wasn’t even a stranger, and he didn’t want to hurt anyone. His thoughts were all in a panic, so he decided not to let an emotion fill his mind, let his heart sink and he turned to face the door. He put his hands up against his chest and looked at himself in the mirror. His hair was a long, curly grey-black with no blue streaks. This wasn’t a hairdo, however. This was a brownish-tan that was barely at its peak, almost completely opaque but just perfectly manicured. It was a combination of the frat’s hair type and the frat’s color. A mixture of the colors of the frat’s hair, and the color of his shirt, which had been rolled up in the folds of his shirtsleeve. He would have looked back and thought of some of the black colors he had in his own hair but he had nothing to show for it. “Hey Evan,” he said softly, “Are you tired of these suits, or just want some more clothes you can wear to bed?” He turned his head in disbelief and looked at himself in the mirror again, which showed a little light shining from the top where his pants were taped down. His shirt was off, and he was sitting alone in a chair. He hadn’t even touched his pants since he walked in the door. On the very next step, he knew he was not alone. It wasn’t until he finished cleaning his hair, his shirt had just fallen down with the end of it hanging loose. He grabbed Evan by the shoulders, who held up a hand. “Oh,” he said, “Howdy” he grabbed his shirt again and took

“I was just telling Kirsten about your awesome lacrosse skills!” said David, who was short and had a pudgy, baby looking face with millions of freckles, surrounded by tufts of blond curls.
“Yeah well Im not all that great Adams way better.” Said Evan“Hes so right you know.” Adam Brooks said entering from the lobby from the dorm upstairs, his girlfriend Stephanie Greene on his arm. Adam was vain looking with his tousled brown locks and brown-blue eyes. Stephanie had long glossy red hair and piercing green eyes.
“Way to be modest Adam!” she scolded sarcastically.“I think its physically impossible for Adam to be modest.” Kirsten said, she was very athletic and had a blonde bob haircut. They all laughed and headed out to the movies.“Which one do you girls want to see?” said David.“Hey, how come they get to decide?” teased Adam“Cause were cooler than you thats why!” they said in unison before bursting into laughter. They went and saw the stupid comedy-horror flick called Zombie Land. Afterwards they went to Peets Coffee and Tea cafĂ© and had fredos (basically a Frappuccino). Then they walked over to the fountain in the main square of Southglenn Streets. They would never forget what they found there.
“Oh. My. Gosh!” said Kirsten in utter horror.“Ohh.” A low moan escaped Stephanies throat. A girl about their age floated in the fountain, her lifeless hazel eyes wide open and her mouth frozen in an “o” of terror.
“Who do you think she is?” Evan questioned.“I think its Amy Hamilton. Yes, for sure she pledged our sorority, Delta Nu.” Said Kirsten“Your right her dorm was down the hall from mine.” Said Stephanie. People had begun to gather around the body, seeing the horrified expressions on the groups faces. Soon the police rushed over, jostling the now large crowd to get through. Amy had been brutally murdered, stabbed to death. Her body had been left in the fountain since earlier that day. The police questioned Kirsten and Stephanie once they said they knew her.
“Do either of you know any enemies that could possibly have done this?” the tall police officer with spiky hair questioned.“No we werent really that close, just a few classes and our sorority.” They replied. They all left that night with Amys eyes haunting them in their sleep. Stephanie knew she would never forget the look on Amys lifeless face.
Chapter Two- Stephanies betrayalTwo weeks later“Hey Steph, wheres Adam?” said Kirsten as Stephanie entered the Starbucks cafĂ©.“He had lacrosse practice with Evan and David.” She replied“Oh, yeah I forgot. So, are you going to the Sigmas party with Adam?”“I dont know those things arent all that. Everyone just gets drunk and make fools of themselves in front everybody. I dont think so.”“Oh, come on David and I are going, besides its the fourth of July and therell be fireworks being set off.”“Well maybe if Adam wants to.”“Great!”They talked about clothes, recent movies, music and their boyfriends until the late afternoon. When they had both parted their own ways Stephanie was in her dorm room talking to Adam on the phone. She was arguing with him about the party.
“Adam I really want to go see the fireworks, come on! We can just stay for a little while.” She pleaded.“No Stephanie I cant go.” He replied firmly.“Why not?”” Because, okay? I have plans.” He said“What plans? With who?” She inquired suspiciously. I have every right to be suspicious with the way hes been acting lately. So strange. She thought.“With another girl Stephanie. Yeah okay, there I said it! Im going out with another girl. I breaking up with you.”“What?!? Youre joking right? This is just one of you and Evans jokes again right?”“No Stephanie, Im completely serious. Its over. Goodbye.”Click.Chapter Three- the Sigma party“Hey Steph! Theres someone I want you to meet.” Kirsten shouted over the blaring music. “Stephanie this is Mason. Mason this is Stephanie the girl I told you about.”
“Its so great to finally meet you. I heard so much.” He said. He had a handsome face with
