Hamlet
Essay title: Hamlet
Shakespeares Hamlet is his most his most popular tragedy and most frequently analyzed play. Hamlet plays are enjoyed by anyone because of its action and drama that entertain the weak minded and its secrets that are hidden though out the play that can be enjoy by the strong minded. Hamlets quest for vengeance is fueled by the “triple edge sword” that is figuratively stuck in him. Hamlet also become morally corrupted as the play pushes on which I will discuss later on. Each side of the the sword has a deeper meaning one represents the death of his father another is the incestual wedlock between his mother and uncle and finally finding out his uncle poisoned his father.
The first side of the “triple edge sword” is the death of his father. Hamlets father died at the very beginning play which he was already upset about. Soon after everyone forgot about his father and his death after a month. Even his mother of all people and uncle showed no emotional remorse for his fathers death. they both total him basically “whats done is done” and you should move on with life. Getting no sympathy from anyone could drove that sword deeper in his heart to know that him father was so easily forgotten with made him deeply depressed thats problely why he alway roams around the hall in the castle.
The second edge of the “triple edge sword” is the incestual wedlock between his mother and uncle. Less than two months after his fathers death his fathers brother married his mother which makes here a mother/aunt. In itself a highly improper and unlawful marriage for the time, from the nearness of relationship, but made much more so by the indecent haste with which it was concluded, and the unkingly character of the man whom she had chosen to be the partner of her throne and bed. This leads Hamlet to question the true nature of things.
The third and final edge of
