Death Penalty
Death Penalty
I don’t think you should support the death penalty to seek revenge. I don’t think that’s right. I think the reason to support the death penalty. I think the reason to support the death penalty is because it saves other people’s lives” (George W. Bush). The death penalty is a death punishment that is given for prisoners who committed crimes which deserve the death penalty.
The death penalty should be legal because of the influence it can have on the government system and individuals.
The death penalty should be legal for many reasons. First, with the death penalty being enforced can have a big impact on the murder rates which cause it to go down. For example, a study shows from 1995 to 2000 executions averaged 71 per year a 21,000 percent increase over the 1966- 1980 period. The murder rate is now at its lowest level since…” (Lowe). The death penalty can make criminals stop committing crimes because of fear of being sentenced to death. Harsh crimes that been committed by criminals should be sentenced to death instead of life in prison. For instance, the murder of Gabriel Kuhn which was committed by his friend; Daniel Petry over a video game called “Tibia”. Gabriel wanted to progress in his game but he didn’t have much money on game so he asked Daniel if he could lent him 20,000 Tibia money from his account and later Gabriel would pay Daniel back. Daniel transferred it to Gabriel account; Daniel was nice doing this for his friend Gabriel. Then Daniel asked Gabriel he wanted his Tibia money back but Gabriel refused to pay him back which cause Daniel to become very upset and angry too. This is where the crime begins… Daniel strangles, rapes and cuts both legs of Gabriel while he still alive later Gabriel dies due to blood lost (killer kids). Instead of being sentenced to death row when Daniel should have due to the harsh crime he committed over a video game which cause the loss of an innocent life. He just got sentenced for prison and was released from prison few years later. It not fair harsh crimes should get the death penalty for justice. Death penalty should be legal for crimes that need to be punishment.
In addition, United State is less harsh when it comes to death row punishment prisoner but on the other hand, many countries have harsh and strict punishments like hanging, body parts being chop off, electric chair, shots, pills, gas chamber, gun, etc. these punishment are torture and brutal but that what criminal get for crimes that they committed which is mean and harsh. Taking an innocent life deserve the death for justice. What can of crimes in other countries have that can result in death? Well, the Middle East sentences it citizens to the death penalty if they decide to change their religion from Islam, drug possession and trafficking are punished in Singapore with the death penalty, company executives in china can get sentenced to death for fraud, possessing Bibles, watching South Korean movies and distributing pornography may be punished also for the death penalty and in ancient Egypt, killing a cat, even accidentally, incurred the death penalty (Factslides). To show many countries have different types of punishments for the death penalty. The states that are non-death penalty should enforce the death penalty. For example, the Boston Massacre that happened on Monday, April 15, 2013 which was cause by two brothers: Dzhokhar Tsarnaev a 19-year-old and Tamerlane a 26- year-old who
