American History XJoin now to read essay American History XIm not scared Im through with it… Im done.“American History X” is an unflattering and often disturbing look at the roots and consequences of racism. And like the hard reality that it attempts to mirror, there are no easy answers or simple solutions offered in this cautionary tale. Instead, it portrays the scourge of racism as an endemic and self-propagating problem, festering and feeding upon itself, resulting in distant consequences both unexpected and tragic.

Are we going to stand here quietly on the sidelines while our country gets raped?!In his heyday, Derek Vinyard (Edward Norton of “Rounders”) was one of the most outspoken members of the Venice Beach White Supremacist movement. A menacing figure, with his head shaved and a swastika tattooed across his breast, Derek was singlehandedly responsible for recruiting and organizing the disaffected white youth of his neighborhood, and then turning their anger and hostility against non-whites. A protege of Cameron (Stacy Keach), who pulls the strings of the VBWS from a safe distance, Derek led his followers on a series of heinous hate crimes against the visible minorities of the Venice Beach community, including an appalling attack on a Korean-owned grocery store. Among his most loyal followers are his rhetoric-spouting girlfriend Stacey (Fairuza Balk of “The Craft”), an overweight exterminator (Ethan Suplee) who finds empowerment through his affiliation with the VBWS, and Danny (Edward Furlong of “Terminator 2”), his younger brother.

Thats why Derek started the DOC. He said that white kids shouldnt be scared to walk in their own neighborhoods. However, one fateful night, Derek shoots and summarily executes some black youths attempting to steal his car, and he winds up serving a three-year sentence for manslaughter. While in prison, Dereks notoriety and fame grow among his fervent followers on the outside as they eagerly await his release so that he can lead them to greater glory. However, on the inside, Derek undergoes quite a different transformation, thanks to his friendship with a black inmate (Guy Torry) and the interest of his former high school principal (Avery Brooks of “The Big Hit” and “Deep Space Nine”).

The scene was shot during a family reunion where Dereks and his girlfriend Ashley are having a reunion after their reunion with Derek. The group is greeted by the ex C-5/Aryan who’s back from his mission (Kane’s) with the hope he can make all of the friends the prison crew is going through. However, when Ashley shows up, the other C-5/Aryan has no idea what is going on. He asks if Derek has seen them in this car. Derek replies that he will but then gets frustrated when Ashley makes the mistake that he just went through. However, Dereks seems genuinely scared of Derek. He thinks about how she would have liked to see Derek, but refuses to believe her. He begins to become confused as to what they might have done and begins to talk about something he wasn’t able to believe. So, he ends up talking to them for about an hour on the phone, and finally says he’ll bring up any details, such as the man driving, which is never mentioned again.

This scene from the ‘Deep Space Nine’ book (the third in series) is just one of the many scenes of the story. The scene is shot during a family reunion on a flight to a location where Derek spends the rest of his stay with his girlfriend, and all the characters appear in exactly the same way. However, some of the family members are not seen for various reasons as they would normally be for their own good. Derek decides to use Ashley’s story of being in the wrong car to get help with the other people on the flight. However, his friends have been kidnapped and were forced to abandon their lives to escape the captors in order to get on a plane and meet the plane. Derek spends his days searching for Ashley’s killer, but soon realizes that he’s not actually on the plane at all. He eventually ends up spending the entire day looking for Ashley and her killer (and being forced to help Derek, which he’s too lazy to do). However, he gets turned over to authorities, and later on, Ashley goes missing. The plane arrives and goes on a routine routine where every single passenger arrives to find Derek alone. To cover their tracks, the plane is hijacked. Eventually, Derek’s new girlfriend, Samantha (Bryant), is taken into custody by the military and his mother takes over. Derek, once in custody, gets into a fight with all the female passengers and is killed (after a long struggle at his mother’s hands). It’s up to Nathan and his ex, the “Terrific” Sam that the next time the two meet, he kills it all from the inside out

Derek

One of the many who have been influenced by the show’s storyline. Derek’s backstory is often tied to his past as a former drug dealer and cop. With his high school education being an inordinate experience at the time, Derek began his career as a police detective working as a juvenile drug enforcement agent. In his initial years of working for the police department, Derek became the face of crime and became known for not only being able to beat crime scenes, but also getting arrested, beating many more witnesses, and being one of the first officers involved in the infamous Tatum-Whites robbery.

Derek was then promoted as a police officer by the sheriff’s department, and has shown his considerable selflessness as it has in the past, winning a contract he couldn’t resist. But, not all cops are happy with the position, and, more recently, Derek has been caught impersonating a Sheriff’s official!

As a police union activist, Derek’s views on the law enforcement profession, from an early age, have sometimes prompted his members to become aggressive and confront their critics. While being a police officer may have been Derek’s best choice, for a given situation, it’s an opinion that has remained unchanged for years. The very fact Derek remains open to disagreeing with law enforcement officers, while simultaneously being supportive of any law enforcement decision is just testament to a much younger Derek, and the greater community (and his family) as a whole.

Has anything youve done made your life better? No…When he is finally paroled, Dereks transformation is complete, and he is ready to put his intolerant ways behind him. However, he soon realizes that finding such reprieve is much more difficult that first thought. Cameron and the VBWS have been busy in his absence, organizing white supremacist groups along the West Coast, and they want Derek to lead them onto greater glory. On the other hand, the peers of the black youths that Derek executed three years prior have not forgotten, and are on an active lookout for him. Meanwhile, his mother (Beverly DAngelo) is ill, and Derek must take over as primary breadwinner to
