(Dictionary Cambridge, 2016)for example, in school teachers must promote positive behaviour management and also to help school and educational settings understand what the law means for them in practical terms and provide staff advice on good practice. is very important to the nursery because the children should be put at the heart of nursery and it is their priority to ensure that the children are safe and don’t come to any harm or danger. This legislation is also a good guidance for the nursery settings as the children should be protected at all times. The nursery meets the standards of this legislation by keeping the main doors locked and having a buzzer system to stop unwanted individuals from just walking in or challenging children running out. Also parents are called for if a child is in any serious harm or danger. (Counselling directory, 2016)
Data Protection Act 1998:This legislation covers the way information about living identifiable persons is used and protected. (Stretch B, 2010) However, Confidentiality is something that the office staff and teachersin nursery have to do because it is against the law to give out the children personal information and this protects the child’s personal information from being seen or used by other people.
