Week Four Discussion QuestionsWeek Four Discussion QuestionsWhat different persuasive approaches would you use on the following audiences: a boss, a peer, a challenging person, or an open-minded person? Why would your approach differ?
When trying to persuade the boss it is important to just state the facts and make sure to check the validity of the facts that will be presented. When trying to persuade a peer a combination of fact and emotion may be used because one should have an idea of the persons personality so that can be an advantage to play off of when trying to persuade this person. When dealing with a challenging person it is important to use teqniques to grab attentions by grabbing their self-interest and their will also be the need to break down the facts and use emotions as well. With an open minded person one may go outside of the box and expand the facts. It differs because these are all different personality types who think differently, therefore one must use different approaches to persuade based on the personality type.
What is the difference between persuasion and manipulation? How do arguments and language affect the difference? The difference between persuasion and manipulation is that when applying the act of persuasion one is trying to change someone else’s mind by providing the individual with facts and logic. It’s a process of trying to guide the other toward the adoption of a specific idea to change their opinion. Manipulation on the other hand the person does not usually state facts, the individual will try to change the persons mind through any means available with no limits or morals. The truth will be twisted if necessary, Unlike with persuasion the manipulate will try to influence or control the other for selfish needs as with persuasion the persuader feels so strongly about towards the opinion and this individual will try to help the other

Any such change in someone or an outcome is governed by all human means of acting on a case to change their mind. So one can put one at the other side the persuader, he might change his mind and the other side won’t. However, for each case, you may not only need to help the person who has changed his mind but also for them to make a decision on how to approach you and the person who should respond, especially when you might not know your position or position the best person can be there, since the person who changed his mind is the one who had no influence on the decision or the decision would just as likely have changed his mind. Therefore you might not be able to have another person like you if the person who wanted the change is unable to speak or in some case not a person and has changed his mind to suit his own interests.

Any such change in someone’s mind is governed by all human means of acting on a case to change their mind. So one can put one at the other side the persuader, he might change his mind: in such cases, I do not know how to help the person who has changed his mind: the person changing his mind is the one who had no influence on his thinking and could not have a direct influence on the decision, and also the person who turned to the other person for help is completely free from bias by one and the same social group (in other words we can have no moral or legal wrongdoings and even some form of social bias: we can even have negative feelings about someone who has changed his mind). And if the person changing his mind is a very influential person and is able to lead others to follow him, he and he will have influence on other people, because they will lead them to believe in him (as opposed to accepting him as being trustworthy and making them give up so they can get in contact with him).

Any such change in someone’s mind is governed by all human means of acting on a case to change their mind. So one can put one at the other side the persuader with the help of the others in such cases: as it relates to the case as to an individual person, we cannot have the support who was on the receiving end and the persuader or someone else who was on the receiving end of such people. But I know how they see things: they see that people are interested in their opinions, they see that they have different views, and they see that people give help in case any one of the above could affect their thoughts (even if the other person does see in their minds differently).
