Communication and Collaboration
There are several different styles of learning. A learning style is the way the brain takes in and processes information. Each and every person learns things in different ways. There are endless combinations of learning abilities that a person can possess. Three examples of learning styles are Intrapersonal, Interpersonal, and Logical-Mathematical learning. There are also personality styles, which include the thinker, the giver, and the organizer.
Intrapersonal learning is where a person has the ability to look at one’s own self and evaluate personal thinking. That person is aware of and able to express feelings to others. Effective communication for a person who has an intrapersonal learning style could be a few different forms of communication, including: written communication, if this person is a good writer and can explain things thoroughly, email which is sort of like written communication only done through the computer instead of hand writing and lastly face-to-face communication, which would probably be preferred in many situations. The only benefits for the written form of communication would be that the person has time to establish exactly what they want said, and how it should be said. Interpersonal learning is where a person has the ability relate to others and understand the feelings and motives of others around them. This style is a great learning style to possess when working in teams. This person can listen to others effectively and feel comfortable around others. Having someone who possesses an interpersonal learning style in a team has a great advantage because this person can basically help settle conflicts if they arise and also help fellow teammates. Communication is not a problem for an Interpersonal learner because they are probably very open. Face-to-face communication is probably preferred because they can say whatever comes to mind and say whatever needs to be said.
A Logical-Mathematical learner is someone who is great at problem solving. This learner has the ability to take a task a little bit further and understand why something works the way it does. They are also good at fixing things, whether it’s a problem with a
