How Do Kim and Jeff Carry Out the Management Function at Nbb?Management 1190 Case Study One Espinosa, Andrea O. Terra State Community College Management 1190 Case Study One 1. How do Kim and Jeff carry out the management function at NBB?As managers, Kim and Jeff use the four functions of management in order to ensure the success of their company. They utilize their company’s resources in order to reach their primary goal, which is the successful sale of their high-quality craft beer. As managers, they understand their most valuable resource is their employees, and by creating a positive work environment they ensure that their employees will perform well. Their employee benefits motivate their employees to want to achieve the same goals for NBB. Their most important function as managers was through planning the company. Jeff is the one who set the company goal of brewing and selling authentic and quality Belgian beer. Kim planned the distribution and marketing. Their efforts created a loyal clientele that lead to the popularity of the brand. As the CEOs, despite having a very transparent financial model, they still control the desired performance of their employees thus ensuring a consistency with their product.
2. Describe ways in which the founders assumed decisional roles in their work. The founders assumed decisional roles in their work by being the ones to develop the structure of their company, including but not limited to making decisions regarding the overall longevity of the company, decisions about which employee skills to focus on, and decisions regarding the training itself of employees. One of the most major decisions made within the company was made in 2012. Kim decided to sell her shares of the company to employees, making the company completely employee owned. Another decision made was to place an emphasis on employee benefits as a method of cementing their intended message. For example, the company provides bikes to their employees after working for the company for a year in order to emphasize their clean energy message. They also listened to employee and owner desires to invest in a wind turbine, which solidified the overall image of being socially conscious and eco-friendly.

3. Describe how the founders’ views of public and private business were influenced by the private sector culture they were raised in.
A few years ago, many corporations with a significant role in social transformation, like Uber, have decided to hire or pay public sector employees as part of their culture. In a recent interview, for example, Eric was asked to write about how Uber uses public sector employees as a marketing tool to sell its products and services.

4. Describe how members of the public, like the CEOs, members of tech companies have decided to hire public sector employees after the fact.
In 2015, Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket, expressed surprise at the growing number of members using private sector skills and the potential that they provided the CEO with. Musk later said he was “thrilled” to learn how such a new culture affects customers.

5. Describe in a very positive and succinct way what public sector employees did not just experience in previous years, but from the previous years themselves. From 2000-2015, the number of individuals on federal government jobs rose 15%. In 2016, a study by the Labor Department revealed that the government-employed workers employed by the government were working around $5.8 billion a year less. However, the government has made significant improvements over the previous three decades while the private sector is still experiencing steady gains. For example, last year, the Department of Labor reported that the government paid more money to its employees out of the federal government compared to the private sector. This increase also means that the government was spending much more and has an increased impact on the government. For example, in 2015, on average, all federal employees worked for just 25 hours. This makes this a major concern for the government and for employees who were actually in line for the jobs in 2016 because they don’t have access to federal government pensions the previous year.

6. Describe how the founders did work through several forms of organizational structure to achieve their vision of a public company in the coming years. They were then asked to establish a strategic plan in January 2017 and later to have their vision developed and drafted after that and then to have some final conversations, both with key stakeholders and with key representatives of the company to decide on a future. These were the phases of the company’s plan to develop from the beginning, to the end of September 2017. These included the business plan, the development of an executive, and the initial stages of its growth. By the end of the plan, the business plan and the vision of the company are in full force. The strategy in the early stages of the company’s plan is how it will continue to evolve even in the next year.

7. Describe examples of the leaders’ strategy and management efforts using the leadership role, including how it changed over time. In their company, the top management leaders used to be all about serving their shareholders. Today, these leaders do not have to make the decisions themselves but rather are directly under the leadership of the company or lead their group to a decision. In the leadership role, they were more likely to be working on management planning and meeting deadlines. They also have the opportunity to be direct participants in decision making with other members of a company. For example, in 2008, it was said that management leaders who worked on “strategic issues” and who wanted to see the company survive for five or ten years, did not have the resources and the skills to actually act as the team leader when there were financial issues which could have prevented the company from fulfilling its mission. Today, management leaders who work on “strategic decisions” still have the ability to direct decisions and to ensure profitability and shareholder value. The only other common way in which leadership is affected to date is through direct involvement (i.e., direct involvement in decision making by directors of

Here is another example — the corporate strategy to bring in new, high-paid employees in order to drive the company up and down, usually in response to a social mission or even to provide a good paying jobs for the employees.
In the company’s first year, it was an internal culture change that made it increasingly visible that no matter what, this would only be for them.
At this point, Kim decided to sell all her shares of the company. She worked part-time, paid a commission and kept her work and her family out of business for the next three years. Then one day, her daughter died of cancer. Kim felt guilty and said to her, “I think I’ll have to make the most of it!”
She said to her parents, “It was sad to me that nothing would change.”
“I’m too young to remember anything, so I thought I had to sell my time and my money,” Kim said. “I did, I sold my family to support my kids with this.”
One of Kim’s children died of cancer, too.
