Dolphin Slaughter and Other Wrongs
Dolphin Slaughter- A phenomena happening mostly in Taiji Japan, and is responsible for the deaths of almost the majority of Japan’s dolphin population. The meat profited from the dolphin, is sold to it’s many markets, under the label Exotic Whale Meat. This meat contains high levels of mercury, which resulted in a boom of birth technicalities, and increased the population of disabled folk within Japan’s nation. There are organizations like Sea Shepherd and also more famous, driven to put an end to this terror is the Oceanic Preservation Society (OPS). They made a film called The Cove which helped reveal the evils behind dolphin slaughter, as they expose The Cove a center of dolphin slaughter within Taiji.
