Very Boring
While reading “the G-20 Summit: Time to Renew Commitment to Economic Freedom”, Kim (151). The only thoughts that were going through my mind were when will this essay finish? Could it be more boring? The author Kim could have used other ways to describe or explain “The G-20 Summit” and “Economic Freedom” issues in a more interesting way. The essay included very strong information, but there were not enough interesting arguments to make this essay strong. Toward the end, the essay was a little more interesting when he summarized it. Kim explained how to “sustain Economic Freedom and the Key to Economic Recovery”. That was the strongest part of the essay that captured my attention. Kims arguments do not influence the views of readers whose values are not aligned with those of the Heritage Foundation. Kims essay was very weak on influencing the readers mind. The essay had specified many events and exact dates to which his essay was based on, which was very helpful. Even though this essay was not that interesting, the reader has to agree with Kim towards the end when he said, “The world must not be discouraged from pursuing greater economic freedom. The G-20 should take this weeks Summit as an opportunity to renew their commitment to economic freedom.” Many people are struggling with the latest economic issues, but taking or making the issues to the negative side is not the way to go. People may need to take a step back and realize that many good things can come out of bad ones. Economic Freedom is a very good solution, but many people dont agree with it and that is for their own special privileges.
