The Effect of Job Satisfaction on Job Performance
Introduction:
Employees are considered the blood that circulates the movement of the organization. In order to achieve higher productivity and more profits, the organization must keep its employees in the best shape possible. The organization must as well keep its employees satisfied to get the most efficient outcomes in return, as satisfied employees are willing exert all their efforts for the company’s welfare and they are less expected to quit their job (Ahmed et al. 2011:577). Satisfied employees are more likely to be more productive and will not show low performance which will help the organization to achieve its goals easily. It has been stated in previous studies that job satisfaction has an effect on many work outcomes like the job performance and other outcomes that will be discussed later on in this research (Samad 2011:602). Some studies stated that there is a positive relation between job satisfaction and job performance; however this relation is week and unreliable (Christen et al. 2006:137).
The purpose of this study is to reveal the effect of job satisfaction on the performance of the employees.
This study is classified into five sections. The first section is discussing the job satisfaction with a quick overview, and the benefits that the employees will acquire from job satisfaction. This section is followed by the job performance section and the employee performance evaluation. The third section reveals the effect of job satisfaction on the performance of the employees, and the impact on absenteeism, productivity and on turnover rate. And finally the last two sections are the methodology section tailed by the conclusion that will sum up this paper.
