A structured training plan for a company can have a positive effect on employees having an understanding of the businesss goals. Training will provide the objectives employees need to meet the businesss expectations. Well-trained individuals can help a business in accomplishing their target of success.  Developing a training plan requires the organization know what training is needed, how the training will be delivered and how the effectiveness of the training will be measured.  There are three important steps to creating an effective training plan for any organization, conduct a needs assessment, develop the training methods and determining the training evaluation strategies the organization will use. Needs AssessmentsWhen companies are implementing a new training plan the needs of the company should first be assessed through a needs assessment.  The needs assessment will determine if training is necessary and if the training will be an appropriate solution to the deficiency the company is trying to overcome (Cekada 2010).  There are five levels of analysis used to determine the needs that the training can fulfill; environmental, organizational, demographic, operational, and individual assessments. These analysis provide the basis for the company to begin working on a plan to develop a training plan

Environmental Analysis.        Reasons for conducting an environmental analysis are for a company to adjust an internal approach to procedures, finances, technologies, along with policies to the external environmental factors. The analysis identifies strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and weaknesses for the business.  According to an article, “With state zone programs increasingly prevalent, and with the federal government now administering many of its place-based initiatives, it is all the more important to understand if and how these programs affect economic activity in targeted areas.” (Freedman, 2013) Landslide Limousines will analyze the competitors, regulations that govern the business, along with the economic climate of the region. The company will have to consider the needed type of insurance or the amount of money spent on vehicle maintenance. Landslide will also need to know the maximum or minimum per mile rate the business can charge governed by Texas law.Organizational Analysis.        Organizational analysis will assist to identify the resources available and the training requirements for the business. Organizational analysis also develop models and theories which accurately capture the functioning and development of businesses and which account for the ways in which companies respond to and bring about changes. Tilleman stated,” higher employee affective organizational commitment is positively related to employee perceptions of environmental management practices.” (Tilleman, 2012) The company has a target of hiring 25 individuals with the expected turnover rate of less than 10 percent for the year. Projecting the first year for Landslide Limousines was for net revenue of -$50,000 and the expected growth of -5%.
