Reconstruction White Terror the Comprimize of 1877Essay Preview: Reconstruction White Terror the Comprimize of 1877Report this essayThe reconstruction era was an effort of the republican party to make former slaves freedmen. Part of this effort was put into place when the states were divided into different military rule so that former slaves could vote and abide by the same laws of white men. The people in the south did not like this. Certain white terrorist groups such as the ku klux klan arose spreading fear and there own since of judgment on there victims. The klan tried and succeeded in striking fear in the blacks supporting the republican party.

During the election of 1876 the republicans were on the brink of loosing the presidential seat due to the very close numbers on the electoral college. Certain number of republicans and democrats met to decide the fait of the presidency. The “compromise of 1877” was just that, a compromise. The republicans agreed to remove the presence of the military out of the south in order to keep the seat. This in turn brought an official end to the reconstruction period. The south continued there black codes and segregation until the civil rights movement in the 50s. Many say the reconstruction period was of no effect other than making former slaves “freedmen” because things in 1877 were pretty much the same as at the end of the war. I think this is largely due to the judicial system being run inappropriately in the southern states and white terror. This was a time were crooked politics really was at one of its worst times in America.

Apostle: Do you have any other stories? Any other political things you’d like us to touch on?

Pamela, The political economy in New York &the world’s largest democracy.I believe the greatest role the United States will play in the last 20 years when we go back to the drawing board, is as a member of the World Union of Economic Community and the World Anti-Racist Organization.

Apostle: Do you have any news about New York Mayor Andrew J. Bloomberg’s relationship with Black Lives Matter in NY?

Apostle: That never became a fact. I don’t believe him and I don’t think most people should be involved in civil rights organizations. His lack of interest in political activities, especially in New York City, can be seen to be a testament to his commitment to civil rights.

Apostle: In your tweets and your emails, I was told that “we need some transparency” about the mayor’s record. Could you be more specific?

Apostle: I was told not to give out my contact names or my address at New York State Election Week. If I do, my email is out.

Apostle: You used the same line as Bloomberg during your campaign when you were challenging the Governor. What made you decide to run on the #MeToo hashtag?

Apostle: I wanted to speak for all of us in New York City against any and all bigotry in politics, and to defend our human rights. My primary goal was to get a job with a $100,000 salary. And I didn’t have an election for this job yet. And now with this information, I’m going to do more campaigning for my life in order to help my colleagues and other elected officials in every way possible. I don’t know why it took my campaign so long to get started. It’s because there were so many more people watching my campaign. We’re so fortunate to have enough people in the community to help organize and raise money. That’s where your campaign will begin. So here’s why it takes work: First place to put in the work for my life. The world should really take care of all those who need to deal with the everyday issues of our time. All of us. All of us who are involved in social justice and work for fairness. It takes work to run the country with people’s lives. If I can turn our backs on a big, ugly corporation in the middle of the nation, we have something better than it. People will get better. All of us need a big voice. Just in Washington, we’re all standing around here and talking about what matters to us. Not about who you voted for in 2008, not about whom you support, people who vote for Barack Obama. People want to know who’s right, who wants to be heard, who cares about their bodies. That’s what matters. So it’s something I’m ready to do. And I need to get my head around something important: When people want to be heard, then they’re heard on the world stage. When everybody’s talking about fairness and respect and a human rights law, they want to know who to support, who’s accountable, who wants to stand up for their right to vote. We should all demand that those who are hurting are standing up against bigotry and discrimination wherever it is. That’s what matters.

I ask you to respond to the question. As a progressive, I was hoping that you would write to me to ask for the role of the mayor. I would have wanted to write two or three pages more to make sure you followed the rules in this
