There is an extremely intense moment in Night, where a young, a pipel gets hanged along with two other men. The two mens hangings did not affect Elie in any way, but the childs hanging affected not only Elie but many others. Elie watched this young boy struggle between life and death. The pipels hanging pained Elie so much, because he knew he couldnt rescue him.
Elie Wiesel is extremely young to have witnessed all the atrocious things he had seen at all the concentration camps. After a while Elie got used to seeing these horrible things done to people.
