Wonders of Being a Computer Scientist
Wonders of Being a Computer Scientist
My interest was first sparked in high school, when I took a computer science course due to graduation requirement. As soon as I started taking the course, I realized I loved it. I absolutely loved it. My enjoyment of a summer programming job solidified my decision to major in Computer Science. I enjoy the challenges the programmer faces, and found the problem solving to be quite fun when you completely understand it.
Other reasons why I chose to become a Computer Scientists is because, I might get to solve problems such as how to safely send a manned spacecraft to Mars, working with NASA. Develop technology for more intelligent search engines such as Google, Yahoo, etc. Develop the next-generation of microprocessors for Intel. Devise unbreakable encryption algorithms for the National Security Agency or, I may find myself working an area that has yet to be discovered.
Computer Science is the study of the theory, experimentation, and engineering that form the basis for the design and use of computers. Study of computers, their design, and their uses for computation, data processing, and systems control, including design and development of computer hardware and software, and programming are all part of being a Computer Scientist. There seems to be a very high potential for employment in the field of Computer Science in the Virgin Islands job market, so there is no need for relocation to other job markets within the Virgin Islands or outside of the Virgin Islands.

Employee benefits include a broad range of programs to help protect the health, wealth, and future of the employee and their family.
