Introducing a wellness program within the company will not only save the company thousands of dollars in health care costs and decrease the number of work related injuries which lead to large sums of workers compensation. A wellness program will produce healthier employees who will in turn increase the productivity and profitability of the company. Employees would suffer from fewer injuries and therefore take fewer sick days or option days. The life span of employees would also increase as they make healthier choices as well as the amount and cost of insurance claims would decrease drastically. By this, the company would have their older employees for a longer time and therefore would not have to invest time and money into training new employees sooner than necessary.
