Atwood and Allen Consulting will develop an Employment Law Compliance Plan for Landslide Limousine Service. This plan will need to coincide with Texas’ employment laws, as well as meet the needs of 25 employees that Mr. Stonefield will like to hire. Texas Employment Laws:Nondiscrimination ActA business that has 15 or more employees are under Title VII. This is the most important law that prohibits discrimination. The Americans with Disabilities Act forbids discrimination based on one’s disability. A business that has 20 or more employees are bound by the Age Discrimination in Employment Act. This law forbids discrimination towards individuals who are 40 years or more. A company that has four or more employees is required to abide by the employment discrimination requirements of the Immigration Reform and Control Act. This act forbids discrimination based the status of one’s citizenship. Equal Pay ActEvery business is required to abide by the Equal Pay Act. This act makes certain that men and women are paid equally. This eliminates issues of men being paid more than women in a male dominate occupation and vice versa. The business will also provide the employees with the pay scale information, which will allow all each employee to see the same data.Civil Rights Act of 1964The Civil Rights Act of 1964 outlaws discrimination on the basis of gender, religion, race and national origin. This law will help employees who may want to apply for various positions within the business.
