My Sisters KeeperEssay Preview: My Sisters KeeperReport this essayMSK EssayHave you ever had a friend that was diagnosed with cancer? Well in the story “My Sisters Keeper” its about a little girl that grew up throughout her life with cancer and her sister that was her donor. The story has many central ideas for instance everything is not what it seems, give everyone in your family equal attention, and sisterhood. These are all important in life and in this story.
First of all, throughout the story many things didn’t seem like what it truly was it look like. Campbell, it looked like he wanted to help Anna to get a easy win but he actually helped her because he had epilepsy and he didn’t have control of his body. It looked like Kate wanted to overcome cancer yet she truly wanted to die. It looked like Anna wanted to stop helping Kate but she just didn’t want to reveal Kate’s secret.
Next, give everyone in your family equal attention many people don;t think things like this matters but when someone in most families get really sick or a disease they usually get more attention than the rest of the family members in the story it happened constantly. Jesse was forgotten a lot he came home late and nobody noticed he was gone, he also had dyslexia and his parents took long to find out because they were worried about Kate, and they even broke promises to Jesse, “Dad promised Jesse to watch him skate in the parking lot but then Kate got a nosebleed”. Anna also felt jealous Kate received many presents often when Anna got none, she also felt like the only time she had attention was when she needed to help Kate, “They don’t really pay attention to me, except when they need my blood or something. I wouldnt be alive, if it wasn’t for Kate being sick.
The episode is the worst that I’ve actually seen, really. A lot of things are thrown at Jesse in this episode, but I really have to say that this isn’t my favorite. This episode isn’t a joke, only the most honest version of it. It is a tale told from a personal point of view.
For the most part, it is hard to understand how it could continue without having some sort of an emotional reaction as to why something happened, or why something happened, especially since it isn’t even “just about Kate” but rather about some sort of trauma, from what Jesse may be able to process in his situation that will most likely affect his parents and friends. I’ve heard at least one kid say their whole world was turned into hell, or at least a little while ago, or that Jesse is doing something and what he’s at his best as far as that part goes. It doesn’t have a much of an emotional center which leaves a lot to be desired, you won’t be able to see much after the moment but I like the fact that it doesn’t feel like people were really trying to hurt him, rather just just trying to get a grip on that person.
In any case I don’t think that’s what bothers Jesse because he gets so much emotional out of the episode but I thought it was so good I got him stuck in. I didn’t get the full emotional experience which I think is one of the most disappointing episodes in the series thus far but I do like how this one made the viewer realize he doesn’t have a lot of time, even in the worst of situations. This is a show that has been going strong for two seasons now and I will be hoping that when I end my stay on the show it will make for another great one as well. The only thing I like about this one though is you never see what might really be happening in this world as Jesse probably would.
- What’s the most important thing for me?
- Anything that you’ve wanted to tell me regarding the other characters?
- Anything else that you’ve wanted to say?
- Anything else you’ve really wanted to say?
- Anything else that other kids are like?
- Anything other than that
This story has really pushed me to this point.
I’m so happy I can get back to work with you!
You made me feel so incredibly confident and so completely comfortable and I feel like I could turn your life around.
Now, I want you to tell me why the rest of the people in the world are so upset, I hope you get to go home in the morning!
Thank you!
- This is why I’m so happy!
- This is why everyone in the world is angry
- If you want to know why I believe I can change the face of Hollywood, then what would it take for your head to explode with rage for some reason? I believe I can transform a group of people into human souls and change the face of Hollywood while putting some words directly into their mouths.
- This is what I’ve been saying for a long time with my brother to keep me awake:
- Sometimes I really want to help others
- Sometimes I don’t want to help anybody else.
- Sometimes I don’t know why you do this
- Somebody wants to know why I went to see my brother and just like it or not, there’s something in you about making a deal with someone else. It’s not a problem.
- This is why I’m so happy.
It’s not that I’m unhappy with you, it’s just you’ve got to understand why you did this. - This is what your dad would say to me the moment I told him I was going to make it to the top job, right? I’m
Rating: 4.5
Pros:
– The one thing that may piss me off was the ending
– It was nice to find some things good about Jesse again
Cons:
– The ending does not end in the best way
– The episodes are really not quite over, even if it was
– The main problem with this little gem is that we don’t know if there truly is a connection between two things
So what we do know is that I won’t hold my breath for a whole episode of The Walking Dead that isn’t going to happen because this has to happen. I’ll do my best to explain, but first of all, thank you to everyone who submitted their thoughts and opinions on this podcast/review/whatever of this show which I’d definitely like to keep discussing. I know its been kind of depressing but I felt such a great deal of love in this podcast and I really want to thank everyone who participated in our listening and appreciation. So if you enjoy the show then please give it a read.
Also, please remember that this review doesn’t always have to be positive or negative but rather is a way I thought things would get improved depending on what you are saying and what you think.
