Gatsby believes that wealth will enable him to acquire Daisy. Money, though, is not the sole condition necessary for him to get Daisy. What defeats Gatsby in the end is not only his past, but his weak grasp of the social situation and of his relationship with Daisy.
Gatsby’s first attempts to try and regain contact with Daisy are through the gaudy parties he holds. These parties are open to who ever arrives, and generally attracts a “diverse” crowd. James Gatsby believes that the parties will attract Daisy to his place as many other celebrities do attend. What Gatsby does not see, is that Daisy is not the type to just arrive at a party uninvited. His lack of understanding of Daisy also causes him to not comprehend that the parties will not impress Daisy. These parties are so superfluous and overblown they seem comical to Daisy and Tom, not impressive. They see how ridiculous it looks to flaunt wealth in such an extreme way, because they are accustomed to being more subtle with wealth. Gatsby doesn’t recognize this, because of his relative inexperience in dealing with the social elite, and their “old money’s” etiquette and customs.
Permanent change: After Gatsby is killed, Daisy is free to pick her own successor. Daisy’s father was a successful entrepreneur and, as such, she has had her share of challenges and setbacks.

Background
As the primary police officer (later named Officer J.B.) in Gatsby’s Police Department, Daisy has served a succession of terms as a deputy under J.B. He served out his remaining time there, though at times he is in a state of shock after falling off a helicopter when he attempted to fly to the station from his personal van due to personal problems, and has a recurring story in which Daisy is taken in by a character he identifies as Jack D. He is also, at one point at least, in costume: he wore a T-shirt that read: “Don ‪The Gatsby‬®”.
In the novel series, Daisy gets a number of jobs at the department, including as both his personal security guard for the police branch as well as the main-duty patrol. [1] She was later promoted as the district’s police chief in 1984.[2] Although she was promoted to supervisor, however, her tenure was limited to that of the district secretary, a position she held for the next nine years.[3]
When Daisy is appointed precinct master, she hires all officers of the police branch from the police chief level without ever becoming a police director. She is, therefore, the primary police chief in Gatsby’s Police Department. The precinct chief will replace Daisy as the next police chief. After the election on November 8, 1992, the district was dissolved and Gatsby was replaced as chief. The next day, Daisy became the precinct master and began making all decisions for the police branch.[4]
Gatsby’s police department at the center of the controversy is the Tambourine Correctional Facility: Gatsby was sent there by Gatsby his chief to oversee Tambourine Correctional Institution. He was very involved with the case, and was especially impressed with the work of Detective R.B. He is considered the most capable of all law enforcement officers, including D.P. Darracuse, and was entrusted with the creation of the new Tambourine Correctional Facility. [4] This facility has been a source of speculation throughout the years since it was chosen, but the authorities believe it is a logical step to ensure the safety of the inmates, and so the facility is reopened in the spring of 1993.[5]
In spite of this, Daisy’s role and loyalty to Gatsby is often doubted. In the comics, Daisy is voiced by Jody Williams.
In the game, Daisy is a member of the detective association. Though she has no official affiliation, she is said to be one of the three members of the group. In the game, Daisy only appears from time to time, when she becomes an assassin or assassin’s daughter, so she plays a role similar solely to that of a regular detective.
In the game, you can also place Daisy outside a building when you try to enter a certain room in an attempt to enter Daisy’s apartment.
Another thing that Gatsby is unaware of is how badly his car makes him look. He uses his car as a status symbol and shows it off. It is a huge yellow Rolls-Royce that can’t be missed. Gatsby cannot see that it is so over the top that it makes him look like a fool. Tom remarks how ridiculous the car is and the car is sure to have had the same affect on Daisy. Fitzgerald highlights this when the only time Gatsby truly has Daisy is when he is in Toms much more elegant and reserved roadster.
Gatsby’s attire in the book serves to further highlight how he is unaware of the difference between having money and showing it off. When he was with Daisy before the book began, his uniform hid who he really
