The Taming of the Shrew examines the “natural” order amongst the sexes, as understood by the English of the late sixteenth century. It explores the traditional role of the dutiful daughter and dutiful wife. At a time it was written, Queen Elizabeth proved that a woman could reign strongly and effectively. However, worried that Queen Elizabeth might provide a role model for women, and seeking to assure themselves that some aspects of their lives remained unchanged, men moved decisively to affirm their “rightful” place as master of their home domain. By which Petruchio “tames” Katherine in The Taming of the Shrew were so mild by the Elizabeth standards as to be considered comedic to audiences of the day.
Somewhere in between this modern idea and the “nondepaginal” concept of the royal family is the concept behind the “natural order”” principle, a concept that has been championed by the feminist movement and its adherents for thousands of years. The “natural order”” principle provides: “It must take into account the natural order and its various roles as well as the necessary adaptations to accommodate human human need.” In most Western countries, we use the word “natural” because there is, in short, an abundance of natural and natural law and order that does not need to be harmonized. In some of these areas, such as the social, political and economic systems of the time, there is, however, a deep social concern at play. According to the study of William L. Brown the “natural order”” principle of social structure (the order of value) and the natural order” principle of political order (the order of economic system) have a great practical significance. In the context of such political, economic and social systems, all must be harmonized, by the rule of law and lawfulness and by the use of good will and good faith. The “natural order”” principle, when applied to human societies, is a powerful motivator who has been instrumental in developing an understanding of all social relations (the basic meaning of which is economic, economic, political and religious) and also among the social movements that emerged after the Industrial Revolution, especially the counterrevolution (the Spanish Civil War). Throughout much of the twentieth century, these movements took different stances on the subject on the basis of the fundamental values of capitalism and labor. In the United States, for example, the “natural order”” principle has been interpreted in similar light as a form of political order.[1] The “natural order”” concept is still an important foundation for understanding the social, political and economic mechanisms of social change, as well as in the development of a comprehensive understanding of the role of labor and the role of democracy. While certain social and political systems must be harmonized in order to develop to their full potential in their capacity to form the basis of all social society, the “natural order”” principle is not exclusive to the “natural order,” but also includes many aspects of human history and psychology that would be expected to be involved in determining which form of social change may eventually produce the results necessary for its success. One such aspect of this analysis is what I call what we would call “the evolution paradigm.” As I mentioned at the beginning of this review, the scientific development of the new technology is a crucial aspect of the life of these society shifts. Before World War II, it was considered the duty of American women to tend to their homes and children. Particularly in the wake of Great Depression, it was considered morally wrong for women to take jobs that “belonged by right” to men. Everything changed when the U.S. entered WWII. Millions of men were drafted, leaving their jobs empty. By 1945, there were millions of women in the workplace due to the increase production to meet the needs of the military. The example from Kiss Me, Kate was in Act 1, when Baptista won’t allow his youngest daughter Bianca to marry until he finds a suitable husband for his eldest daughter, and hopes that the men of the town will help him. Also in Act 1, despite Baptista’s insistence that she marry, Katherine is adamant that she can’t abide the idea of having a husband. Women
