Ethics refers to standards of conduct, which indicate how one should behave and is based on an individuals moral duties and virtues (www.bethedream.net/ethics.htm. Retrieved December 4, 2006). An individuals morals and virtues are derived from that individuals perception of right and wrong. Ethics involves the ability to differentiate between what is good and evil too. Ethics are values that I have used to guide my actions and choices. Basically, my personal values have determined my lifes purpose as well as the path in which I have traveled in my life. The Ethics Awareness Inventory has made me aware of how I apply ethics to my personal and professional life.
The Ethical Awareness Inventory shows that my ethical perspective is based more toward character and least toward obligation. I believe that an individuals character can tell how that person handles ethical issue. For example, I believe that the best way to determine whether a person is good or bad and fair or unfair is to examine that individuals overall character.
