Abstract
The author of this paper will discuss the evidence of character development for his favorite character from a prose or dramatic work. This character the author chose is William Wallace from the movie ” Braveheart.”

Introduction
In this paper, I will discuss the character from my favorite movie. Braveheart was created in 1995 and is about a commoner that did not want to be ruled and yearned for freedom. However, William Wallace is a real hero that brought ideas of freedom to Scotland (Murison, 2003).
Revealing his Nature
William Wallace fought for the freedom of the commoners because he believed that no man should be governed. His wife was killed by the hands of soldiers of England. Wallaces wife did not want to participate in their mandatory pre-marital ways, so they murdered her. This gave Wallace the drive to gain freedom for the people of Scotland. He devoted his life to freedom.
Playwrights scene to inform the reader about the Character
The playwright describes William Wallace as a commoner that has a love and compassion for the common man. He portrays him to be a peaceful man at first, until his wife is tragically killed. He is described as a fearless man that is driven with a passion to obtain freedom and to battle England for Scotlands independence. You can tell that they made him a fearless freedom fighter that can gain morale from his men, even if the odds are not in their favor.
Characters Dialogue
The best dialogue from this character that represents what he is like comes from the end of the movie. After several years of battling for freedom, William Wallace finally gets captured by the English. As they are about to end his life by torturing him, he yells out “freedom.” He was asked to beg for mercy to escape the torture, but instead yells this motivational yelp (Awesomefilms, n.d.).
Character Traits
People referred to Wallace as a God
because he would always find a way to beat the Englands armies with a less amount of troops. He was portrayed to have no fear regardless of the odds. He showed no weaknesses to any other man. He was an immortal legend, so to speak.
Intentional Judgments about the Character
The storyteller in this movie presents William Wallace as the brave noble commoner that fights for freedom and does not stop to bring it to the common people of Scotland. He intentionally portrays Wallace to be fearless. This brings out the character in the movie.
Conclusion
As one can see, William Wallace did everything to bring freedom to the people of
