Ranging from market impact to unfortunate weather, external forces have ann extensive range of meaning, and spell doom for an organization that does not care to acknowledge them. In the case of an organization like Stilsim, the external environment is much larger internal, and is often the most overlooked. External environments are analyzed best when the situations are recognized as dire or that a change is needed. When a company acknowledges this type of analysis, external focus is placed on outlying competition, buyer and supplier power, market conditions, trends in consumer needs, and technological advancements in the industry. Examining the external environment takes into effect all of the necessary factors, but paying close attention to how these factors have impacted business of the company and its competitors. Without proper analysis of external environment, any company has an unfortunate chance of failure, and worse, failure without understanding as to why there was failure in the first place.
General Environment Analysis The external environment of Stilsim is that of heavy competition and threat for substitution because the staffing industry is rather cutthroat compared to most. Because staffing is mostly a commission-based industry, companies that do not acknowledge external factors such as competition, socio-economic changes, company’s needs for staffing, trends in technology, or buyer/supplier power, Stimsim’s need for external analysis is dire. The external environment that surrounds Stilsim is one of heavy competition, variable consumer and client needs, and vast changes to company structures that require a new view of staffing and finding the right candidates for job positions. It is important to address the needs of external environment and analyze strengths and weaknesses in order to push Stilsim forward as industry-leading, and eliminate threat of substitution. This analysis is relevant to Stilsim because an external environment’s impact on staffing includes socio-economic changes, variable market trends, and technological, as technological evolution pushes a requirement for organizations to change and balance for success. Opportunities. An opportunity for Stilsim can be defined as any business decision or analysis that poses a situation or reactionary force that is positive in nature and can be seen as beneficial to business. Opportunity can come in many forms such as mental, structural, physical, or economic. Demographics. An excellent example of how opportunity can impact business is by looking at demographical situations and how tailoring a business message to reach a specific target can boost business. One of the most important aspects of environment that should be focused on by Stilsim is a societal element, that represents consumers and companies seeking job candidates. Society ties directly to supply and demand, and where the job market dictates a need for certain types of employment, Stilsim can capitalize on this by having a generous pool of candidates that fit needed qualities. In the same way, societal elements include paying attention to social trends, as they often dictate the future needs of consumers.
