Course description.
The course develops awareness of intellectual functions development such as memory, thinking, and creativity and personality development characteristics of students during the studying process.
It also develops competence in building and maintaining types or relationships, builds skills in conflict prevention and considers behavioral standards that guide relationships. It provides foundation for improving quality of life though more positive, caring, and respectful relationships at university, at home, and in the workplace. Business employers need employees who can participate as a member of a team, teach others new skills, serve clients, exercise leadership, negotiate and work diversity. These skills are important for success in the workplace.
General learning objectives of the course:
understand the process of person perception and attitude formation;
understand the nature of social interaction, verbal and non-verbal;
find out the areas of social influence: conformity, compliance, and obedience;.
understand the emergence of leaders in groups, the social skills of effective leaders;
recognize different motives of students to study and develop as healthy personalities;
understand the processes that influence group effectiveness;
encourage yourself and others to be more helpful to one another.
