Do you want to make a dream come true? Then come to the land of opportunities, the Promised
Land, the land that floats with milk and honey – come to The United States of America.
The famous Arnold Schwarzenegger departed to America in 1968 for his shot at the American Dream. A Schwarzeneggers comment from “U.S.News & World Report” says, that it is not just a piece of cake to live out your American Dream, but according to Arnold you have to give America
something in return to become a United State citizen. Responsibility is an important keyword for immigrants, Arnold thinks. The head message in this comment is that you cannot just come to America and get a lot of handouts without giving something in return. Your duty as an immigrant is that you have to give something back to America and that is what Arnold means with the word responsibility.
In the article “second inaugural address” Arnold Schwarzenegger not only thanks the people for being elected as a governor again, but he also gives this message to the California people that as governor he feels responsible for the California wealth and the further economic business, so the people in California still can continue to live in harmony and prosperity.
Arnold Schwarzenegger have this vision twenty years out in the further, that California will be a role model for, not only the 211st century American society, but for the larger world. When Arnold Schwarzenegger choosing to say this its because he knows that millions of people around the world already have this idea that California itself is a dream.
Arnold Schwarzenegger gives many examples on why California should be this role model to the rest of the world. Some of the things he focus on, is the way California have committed themselves to lead the world in the transition from fossil fuels to clean energy, and, as result of that, a clean tech industry has creating jobs for the California people.
When I look at Arnold Schwarzenegger as a persona Im not seeing him as a governor, but as an actor because of hes enormous ego, when he talk about hes vision for California its like he thinks California is the center of the world.
