The USDA
More than 1.2 million U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) employees work with the fast food industry, with more than 25,000 employees working in health care (h. g. USDA).
Over 50,000 fast-food restaurants participate in the USDA’s National Restaurant Association, which represents the food industry.
More than 13,000 fast food shops are located around the U.S., with over 50,000 fast food restaurants participating. Restaurants are typically fast food restaurant owned or operated, which gives them the freedom to organize, operate and distribute food, and to develop their own flavors and ingredients. This freedom is granted on the basis of their beliefs in respect to nutrition and healthy practices, and at a restaurant, they are treated with respect. The more time to educate, the better. There is some work by the USDA towards supporting the fast restaurant industry to gain more of a place in the country and gain participation. To this end, the fast restaurant industry, which is the largest employer of fast food workers, and of fast food restaurants, has provided funding for the National Restaurant Association of the USA (NRA) to be dedicated to the goals of the fast food industry and promote good values. The NRA recognizes food safety and nutrition for all Americans, including the poor and the mentally ill. The NRA will develop recommendations and a process for encouraging the following: improving the healthy food culture†that inspires American restaurantsвЂœ all fast food restaurantsвÐÐЂ in the community.
In September 2017, USDA announced that 10 fast food restaurants in the United States would be closed due to health and safety concerns. In May 2018, the USDA announced that two of the 10 fast food restaurants in United States would face closure as “national health incidents or injuries” due to safety issues, and the USDA announced that the restaurant operations in Minnesota and Wisconsin would be closed, at the request of the Minnesota Department of Labor. The USDA also announced that the closure of the Minneapolis Hot Chicken Restaurant was cancelled pending the findings of a study conducted by the National Center for Health Statistics that found the hot chicken was among the worst places to eat in the country, with people who made the worst decisions making decisions in both restaurants and other places. The closures of the Minneapolis Hot Chicken restaurant and the Minneapolis Hot Chicken restaurant in Minnesota and Wisconsin result from several factors, including, among others, the Minnesota Department of Labor, and the Minneapolis Hot Chicken restaurant. Minneapolis Hot Chicken Restaurant and Minneapolis Hot Chicken Restaurant, (also known as the Kitchen and Fizz in Minneapolis), has been closed after an epidemiological study found “no evidence of contamination, including contaminated water, human feces, or any infectious agents found in refrigerants and heating rooms at the restaurant and in the restaurant freezer.” A third study found evidence of human feces in the refrigerator of hot chicken restaurants. America is one of the most unhealthiest countries. Stephans states that, “32% of people are of Americans are overweight and about two thirds of these are obese(Stephans, 609).” This factor alone says that there is going to be a huge increase in diabetes, heart disease, and cancer. This was because the foods that makes up the typical Americans diet
Are not healthy enough and contain empty calories. Empty calories are foods that you eat which are high in calories but gives little or no vitamins and minerals. Stephans implies that, “80% of heart disease and cancer could be eliminated by simple changes in our eating habits(Stephans, 609).” This shows how important diet is to ones health. Change like eating more organic foods and less processed meat can change health tremendously.
Stephans argues that America’s diet is changed by industry, corporate franchising, and the media. Fast food franchises, super markets, and convenience foods has been spread across America due the creation of cars, super highways, and urbanization. The modern foods that children eat are created by the media such as the television. Eating cereal for breakfast has been created by the media. These foods contain a high amount of trans fat. Trans fats are added in these foods to make them last longer. Urban America could possibly have something to do with obesity.
They layout of suburban America also has factors in obesity as this layout forces one to drive. “Studies have shown that each hour spent in a car per is associated with a 6% increase in likelihood of obesity. While each kilometer walked per day had a 4.8% reduction in the likelihood of obesity(Frank, 2004).” The driving of a car is due to the layout of American cities and suburbs which doesn’t result in much bike riding. “Only 6% of urban travel is done by biking in America whereas over 45% of urban travel in European countries are on bike(Pucher).” This is another reason why America is the most obese country in the world along with the way they use there time.
An AmericanвЂ?s diet can also contribute to a poor diet. “An American’s work week on average is 10 hours more than that of Europeans(Robinson, 1999) .”
