I agree with Ray Kurzweils about how fast technology is moving and improving. I am now 23 years old and I can remember when I was a kid my parents had a bag cell phone which we thought was the top of the line back then. Now a bag phone is all outdated and we have phones that are basically laptops with phone capabilities.
I doubt that technology will affect the length of life. Yes, technology will help advance presiders and programs to heal and prevent sickness and diseases, but that will only cause for more medications with more side effects which will only cause more problems.
Is there a way to be both thrilled and worried about advances? I have mixed emotions about them I am thrilled that technology is advancing so fast and strongly. That not only helps our everyday lives, but our military advancements are critical when it comes to being top of the line with equipment. But at the same time I worry that this could get carried away too fast and cause problems. If we get too complacent with technology and depend on it every day and one day something happens and whips it all out people may not know how to survive without it.
