A Look at the No Child Left Behind Education Reform
Here is the analysis of the impact of the No Child Left Behind Education Reform that you requested.
As suspected, there has been a tremendous impact made on the education system, in our area of representation. However, the impact does not appear to be as positive, as anticipated. While the data regarding the success of the NCLB Education Reform indicates that the state of Florida has shown marked improvement, since the implementation of this reform, there does not appear to be one clear cut reason for the success.
Obtaining a clear cut answer about the success of this education reform may prove more difficult than not. In researching progress of the schools, since the implementation of this reform, shows many factors that contribute to the appeared success of the schools. However, the success appears to be a lowering of standards, so that the schools are not penalized for their poor performance, as measured by the standards of NCLB.
Making a change in this area is certainly not an easy task, as this is funded at the federal level and has many implications, as related to the educational system of the entire country, not just Florida. However, it appears as though complete federal oversight is not necessarily a positive factor, when looking to improve the educational system of our country. Research indicates that minimal federal oversight, historically, makes for a better educational system, that does not have to structure their standards around proposed penalties for poor performance.
