Feminism
Feminism is theory which tells us that men and women should be equal politically, economically and socially but in or Pakistani culture we (or may be most of us) don’t follow the feminist theory. We don’t let our daughter’s, sister’s etc work because we think that women should stay at home and do the household work or that’s what our culture makes us think. The feminism theory revolves around political, economic and social equality of the sexes. The feminism theory concerns with the rights, freedom, independence, tolerance, co-operation, nonviolence and diversity of an individual. There are many different types of feminism like Amazon feminism, Anarcha-Feminism, Anti-racist feminism, Black Feminism, Chicana Feminism, cultural feminism, Difference feminism etc . Even though there are different types feminism/ feminist but all feminist’s tends to argue for women rights and the issues dealing with women. There three waves (referring to time periods) of feminism first, second and third wave of feminism (no specific name given to the waves). The first wave means the act of feminism or the feminist during the nineteenth century and early twentieth century the first wave focused on the women rights for suffrage. The second wave started in 1960’s till 1980’s this wave deal with inequalities and inequalities as inextricably linked issues. The third race started in 1980’s still running it deal with intersection of gender with race, social class, and other social issues. Feminists commonly argue upon stereo typing, sexual problems, patriarchy, oppression etc.
