Ribbons
A piercing wind wisped through the air as the cloudless sky bore thousands of glittering stars twinkling against the moons light. Together they poured over the rooftops of houses- light dancing across the window panes of abandon homes. Down below a figure hobbles along, sifting through the streets…the man stumbling through the lawns of overgrown weeds and grass, barging throw the angry howls of the wind.
His body slumped over as his arms swayed lifelessly at his sides. The moonlight caught in the hollow of his eyes and slid off the sunken flesh of his cheeks. Saliva catching on the sides of his open mouth froze to his paling flesh. His jaw hung low, gravity tugging on dead weight… A familiar scent lingered in the air, he breathed in. He recognized the smell, the sweetness. An agitating hunger began tugging at his stomach, pulsating through his body, and he clenched his stomach. On he trudged.
He stumbled over the front steps, and finally reached the door handle. He fiddled with it for a few moments, and finally caught hold and he pushed open the door.
Oh, the smell was so succulent. The aroma danced in the air and caressed his senses, he could not wait to see what his love had prepared. Fatigue ripped at his body, but the image of his love urged him forward. He stepped into the kitchen, and there she stood-back facing him as she hovered over the sink. The smell was enticing, and he walked forward. She hadnt sensed him, and as he met her he leaned into the crease of her neck.
His fingers slid across her delicate skin, warmth radiating onto his cold flesh. She smelled sweet, sweeter than any perfume known to man…oh how it crazed him. He let his lips hover
