Beowulf and GrendelEssay title: Beowulf and GrendelIn the 2005 film Beowulf and Grendel, the story of Beowulf undergoes another poor Hollywood interpretation with few redeeming points. While somewhat better than the more recent Beowulf of 2007, the 2005Π²Πβ’s fatal flaws are still that of twisting what should be sacred and bastardizing socially and culturally redeeming literature with movie flash. The inclusion of new characters, new, modernized dialog, and a cut and paste plot damage what couldΠ²Πβ’ve been a decent interpretation. All in all, the film came across as many of the modernized teen flick Shakespeare adaptations such as O and Ten Things I Hate About You do in that viewers got the gist of the classical literature, but suffered through plenty of bullshit to get there.
1
The title is also problematic because it focuses on Beowulf, who is seen as a hero. He can be seen as a middle-aged man who takes on a more noble character in the book’s middle. His character’s character is not one that the film is intended to depict.
2
After the title, the movie shows that the main villain of the film may not be Beowulf at all in the end, in the main character’s portrayal in this film. This implies that his character could be just as much of the original Beowulf as his character was not in an earlier work such as the novel. However, it doesn’t change that one’s view that the main villain, in this film, is Beowulf.

The most important quality of the movie that was bad at best was it did not adequately explain the conflict between three protagonists, they were very complex, and it was a real problem that the film needed to address the most deeply, which is the conflict between the lead and young man who live together for life in a dangerous and dangerous kind of society. Beowulf, as the lead, is not the only character whose story is so complicated that its explanation must have difficulty. Beowulf also is not the only young man who is involved, which is even more worrying because not only has his son not seen he has already been killed for being more powerful than the other young nobleman, but his father is also now dead. All things considered, this film did not work well when it comes to dealing with the issues that were being constantly raised. All these issues are present and there is a lack of the story to understand the conflicts that were present and, where none exist, how these conflicts began. The main problem is the film wasn’t properly understanding how Beowulf’s war had taken place. The film was a poor take on the problem. By the time the film went out of print, there was a new chapter in the war between Beowulf and the other noblemen, a conflict that had already been resolved, but which required more than a few more years of planning and the efforts of the two characters to resolve. This chapter is not enough. It simply doesn’t cover the conflict and the war. This is just sloppy movie making that’s not the kind of entertainment that will work in any event if it ends on bad note.

Some of this is because of an oversight in the original script that is often misrepresented, the ending doesn’t even mention a conflict for one hundred years after the book’s publication. Also, instead of giving the fight a proper ending that would only be good for a very short time, the film gives them two choices that they will make. They can decide to end the chapter as quickly as possible or they can choose to continue in the same order so that it will not add more conflict,
