Lemonade Day
After we all split ourselves equally into groups we started working with our groups and I started working with my teammates in my finance group. As a part of the finance group we were in charge of finding the funds for this operation so that we could get our lemonade stand up and running. I found that this task was difficult at first, but we later found out that the dean of the university would provide us a loan of fifty dollar as long as we paid it back. Unfortunately we learned that this original plan for a loan was not available for us anymore. This was unexpected in my eyes, but it taught me that although there is a certain plan for something, it doesn’t mean that the person will always follow through with the intended plan. This showed me how that in a business it is sometimes best to have a backup plan incase the original plan fall through as some resources are not always reliable. Learning that our loan was no longer available, my group and I discussed how we would come up with the money to fund this operation. After discussing with my group members we decided that we would have everyone in the seminar group pitch a small amount of cash so that we could pay for our product and pay for the fifty dollar visa card that was working as our incentive for people to come to our stand.
