Business 300 (18) Yuheng Sun 09/09/2013 First DraftStudy planIn terms of oral and written communication, I have a lot of expectation and goals in this course. In a short time, I want to know how to written professional business information such as memos, letters, emails, reports and business plans. In addition, as a non-native speaker, I hope I can get effective practices in the interview, presentation project so that my oral communication gets a big improvement in this course. Now, my major is finance and most people perhaps catch some ideas about trader, investor and doing financial analyze. In fact, I am not very interested in cooperating in capitalized and financial market and I would like to manage a department even a company. In my perspective, most business man just want to get a big amount of money in financial market, which make this aspect filling lots of false financial statements and cheating small shareholders, especially in some developing countries. Otherwise, managing a department or company is very challenge task because we should know accounting, finance, and management. Also, a company nuclear value is what productions and service created for our society, not the price on stock market. On the other hand, we have to know the importance of the internet. Since the internet and computer was created, our life has changed and lots of companies grew up until controlled the whole market, such as Microsoft, Apple, Google, Amazon and Alibaba. Therefore, my long-term goal is that I can find a basic job at such companies and gradually practice self-ability to be a good manager or business man.
In addition, in this semester, we have to finish six assignments including baseline writing, study plan, social media, newsletter, resume and cover letter and formal report. In the first week, I have already finished the baseline writing assignment and as well as the draft of the study plan. Also, the draft of newsletter will be finished on September 15, 2013. I will state my goals in a short time and long-term in the study plan. Moreover, clearly arranging when and how to finish every assignment will be illustrated in this assignment. Referring to newsletter, we perhaps use some professional business language and model to communicate with our partners or bosses. Before I start to do this job, we may look more communication letters and memo and I plan to start it on September 23, 2013 and finish this job on September 28, 2013. In this period, I will prepare to watch some business movies such as social network and read some business letter in some magazines or textbooks. Next, we are going to do the social media and branding work before October 14, 2013. In this assignment, I think we may gradually form our own communication style and know which social media is better when we do the communication in business. For example, some companies require their stuff using inner email, telephone and communication code.
